VHSL does away with Region D championship games

With this passing there is absolutley NO REASON to put three schools on one site. The athletic argument is over, we could build one school be AAA size and play basically as an independent. District championships do not qualify you for postseason, the only thing that matters is points. So, build a 2,000 kid school in Wise and play all the north east Tennessee schools.

If we don't consolidate you can hand JJK as many state baseball titles as they want. With them being division one the baseball playoffs would be a comedy, not a competition.

With 3 schools under the new playoff system, it would almost make as much sense to just have one super school.

It only applies to Group A. Group AA and AAA are not changing there playoff system and they will have regional champions. So no it makes no sense to have just 1 school with 2000 students. One school would have us going all the way to roanoke and behond to play district games. This aint going to happen.

Right, so why join a district? It doesn't guarantee you a playoff spot. If these people at the school board and board of supervisors want to focus on ACADEMICS then build us one school state of the art. We can play 10 schools within short driving distance that would play us. In fact I can make the schedule:

DB
Science Hill
TN High
Harlan Co
Breathitt Co
Bluefield WV
Sullivan South
Sullivan North
Letcher Co
Bell Co

The only time our kids would have to travel a great distance would be the playoffs. I really hope somebody brings this up at the meetings. Go ahead and put one school in wise put all 2,000 kids in it and lets actually be progressive in education.

PVfan - you can scratch Bluefield from the schedule... don't see then playing a school 3x their size since they get no points if they lose.
